Visit this amazing Timber Bending business using 1850s machinery, steam bending solid timber for – vehicle restoration, architecture, furniture and more. Last of its kind in Australia. Demo included. Daylesford Cider Company

AFTERNOON TEA
A quick stop at The Chocolate Mill on the way home. All chocolate is made on site and sold exclusively from the venue. With a retail store and a viewing window to see the production as it happens. Ph: 03 5476 4208

 

2. The Garden Lovers

BROWSE & MORNING TEA
Cocooned in the Wombat State Forest, The Garden of St Erth features an extraordinary range of plants from around the world.Thousands of naturalized daffodils carpet the lawns in September and through the summer months the herbaceous border features Digger’s perennials and grasses.The garden culminates in an extravagant display in March for our Autumn Festival. Visit the Convent Gallery and meander through the 6-acres of award winning gardens surrounding the building. Eye-catching artwork, elegant bronze sculptures and awe-inspiring views contrast with the fragrant and colorful gardens that have blossomed in the rich volcanic soil. Stop in the Bad Habits Cafe in The Convent atrium served with tea/coffee or wine.

AFTERNOON TEA
A visit to nearby Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm for a real European experience. The 1860s golden stone farm buildings are surrounded by beautiful European gardens and their farm growing lavender, olives and grapes. Explore the gardens, meet the farm animals, visit their giftshop in the old Barn and enjoy a beautiful afternoon tea of lavender scones in their La Trattoria Cafe. Ph: 03 5476 4393

Located in a massive warehouse, treasure hunters have the opportunity to spend many hours browsing and meandering through an eclectic mix of wares at The Mill Market. There is a fantastic variety of furniture, records, vintage clothing, books, fine china, glassware, industrial items, jewellery, quality antiques as well as Australian pottery, homewares, memorabilia, retro fashions and collectables as well as everything in between.
