The Convent Experience | Art Gallery
Described as ‘the most beautiful art gallery in Australia’, The Convent is an award winning gallery in the regional Victorian town of Daylesford.
Our Daylesford Art Gallery is set in a beautifully restored 19th century building, housing seven individual exhibition spaces over four levels. New artwork is hung every eight weeks offering visitors and collectors a truly diverse range of art upon each visit.
Daylesford Art Gallery
Established in 1991, The Convent is a major regional gallery situated in Daylesford, Victoria, exhibiting both contemporary and traditional artwork from local, national & international artists across a variety of mediums.
Historic Building
The Convent is a privately owned venture. Tina Banitska restored an old convent into this beautiful gallery. Our arts program has supported artists, established and emerging, for over 30 years! Over 4 levels, you will encounter displays of paintings, prints, sculptures, glassware and ceramics…with over 100 artists represented each day.
New Exhibitions
As you wander from room to room, you will discover that each of the seven individual art spaces represent a different artist, typically of a different style from the room before. It is important to us to exhibit differing styles of work to accommodate for differing tastes in art. New artwork is hung every 8 weeks. Always something new to see at The Convent.

The Convent Exhibition Policy is an inclusive one, with a focus on representing the work of both established and emerging artists.

Artist-in-Residence Program
