Denise Campbell
Denise Campbell’s love of the land comes from her early rural life in country NSW; the land, and the elements that shape it, are a constant influence on her artwork. Her work is often from the aerial perspective and is infused with an earthy, spiritual quality that is vibrantly and uniquely Australian.
Initially trained at Wollongong Teachers’ College in 1966/67, Denise found that her first career in teaching led to National positions in training and development, where she has had a long and distinguished career in the corporate sector. From there, Denise slowly made the transition to artist with the help of private tuition and creative short courses through art societies, art schools and university summer programmes, both in Australia and Italy.
