Victor Rubin 2018
Victor Rubin’s Poesie: Figures of the Field explores the complexity and diversity of human relationships. The distinct visual style which Victor has developed over decades of painting, blends Picasso’s cubist techniques with the ambiguities of Surrealism; a combination which imbues his work with a particular inclusivity.
Rubin has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize, Sulman Prize, Blake Prize and Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. He is represented in the Australian National Gallery, all state galleries and many regional public gallery collections.
